v1.0.0·Effective 2026-06-03·Last updated 2026-05-06

This Disclaimers page is a plain-English summary intended to orient you. It is not a substitute for, and does not modify, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Risk Disclosure, or the AI & Automation Disclosure. This is a non-binding summary; in any conflict between this page and any other Vantis legal document, the other document controls. In any conflict among those four documents, the Terms of Service control. You must read the full documents before using the Service to inform any trading decision.

What Vantis Is

Vantis is a software tool. It analyzes publicly available market data using a published quantitative methodology and displays scores, signals, and structure observations to users who have chosen to subscribe.

Specifically:

  • A scoring engine that ranks S&P 500 tickers across seven quantitative signals
  • A screener that filters tickers against published quality gates
  • An analyzer that displays per-ticker quantitative analysis and a panel of options structures (e.g., put credit spread, cash-secured put) along with the score each structure receives under the published methodology, sorted in score order. Sort order is a mechanical function of the score — not a recommendation, suitability assessment, or indication that any structure is preferable for your circumstances. The Service does not select, default to, or pre-fill any specific structure.
  • A portfolio tracker that ingests trade-history exports you choose to provide
  • Educational content explaining the methodology, the Kelly criterion, and “Iron Rules” — a set of configurable user-managed defaults that reflect commonly cited practices in premium-selling. Iron Rules are not prescriptions, recommendations, requirements, or investment advice. They have not been calibrated to your account, situation, or strategy. The “Rule” label reflects a product-design convention, not a legal or analytical authority. See Risk Disclosure §4.6.

What Vantis Isn’t

Vantis is not:

  • Investment advice. No score, signal, or AI commentary is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.
  • An investment adviser, broker-dealer, robo-adviser, financial planner, or fiduciary. Vantis LLC is not registered as an investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Washington Securities Act (RCW 21.20), or any state investment-adviser law. Vantis is not a broker-dealer and is not a member of FINRA, SIPC, or any self-regulatory organization. Vantis owes you no fiduciary duty, no duty of loyalty, no duty of care, no suitability obligation, and no duty to monitor, update, or correct any output. No advisory, agency, fiduciary, planning, or trust relationship arises from your use of the Service or from any communication from Vantis, and no such relationship may be inferred from the proximity of any output to data you have uploaded.
  • A brokerage. Vantis does not place orders, hold funds, or interact with your brokerage account. You execute every trade yourself.
  • A robo-adviser or portfolio manager. Vantis does not manage assets, allocate funds, take discretionary control of any account, or assess suitability. Outputs are not personalized to your situation. We do not know your full financial situation, your risk capacity, your tax position, your time horizon, your goals, or holdings outside the inputs you supply. Where the Service displays analytical artifacts in proximity to data you have uploaded (such as a portfolio export or trade history), the Service is showing how a generic methodology applied to public data describes a hypothetical position of that nature. The Service is not analyzing your position, your tax basis, your objectives, or your capacity to absorb loss. Apparent personalization reflects only the data you choose to upload; it is not advice tailored to you.
  • A continuing relationship. Vantis owes no duty to monitor, update, alert on, or correct any output after it is generated or displayed. Outputs are point-in-time observations of public data through the published methodology, not commitments to maintain, refresh, or follow up on any view.
  • A guarantee of results. Past or modeled outcomes do not indicate future results. Many scored trades, including high-scoring trades, will lose money. The methodology does not predict outcomes for any individual trade. The methodology does not anticipate or protect against tail-risk or stress events; under conditions that materially differ from historical observations, results can be substantially worse than the methodology suggests.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for your investment decisions and any resulting gains or losses. This means:

  • You decide what trades to place
  • You execute every order in your own brokerage account
  • You evaluate whether any output fits your risk tolerance, time horizon, and goals
  • You confirm you have the necessary brokerage approvals (e.g., options-trading levels) before placing any trade
  • You consult licensed professionals — investment advisers, broker-dealers, accountants, attorneys — before making any investment, tax, or legal decision based on or informed by Vantis outputs
  • You will not rely on any score, signal, structure, sizing output, or AI-generated commentary, in whole or in part, as the sole or primary basis for any investment decision; you will independently verify every data point and analytical claim before acting on it
  • You acknowledge that you have prior experience with self-directed investing or trading commensurate with the products you intend to trade, including options where applicable, and that you understand the risks of those products

Options Risk

OPTIONS TRADING IS HIGHLY SPECULATIVE AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR EVERY INVESTOR. YOU CAN LOSE 100% OR MORE OF THE CAPITAL YOU COMMIT, IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. CERTAIN STRATEGIES EXPOSE YOU TO LOSSES SUBSTANTIALLY GREATER THAN THE CAPITAL YOU INITIALLY COMMIT AND, IN SOME CASES, GREATER THAN THE EQUITY IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

Certain strategies — including, without limitation, naked call writing, short straddles, short strangles, calendar spreads, and ratio spreads — expose you to losses substantially greater than the premium you receive and, in some cases, greater than your account equity. Before placing any options trade, you must read the Options Disclosure Document (“Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options”) published by The Options Clearing Corporation, available from your broker or at theocc.com. This Disclaimers page does not substitute for the OCC ODD. See our Risk Disclosure for Vantis-specific risks.

Data and Methodology

Market data displayed in the Service may be delayed by approximately fifteen minutes. Bid-ask quotes, implied volatility surfaces, and Greeks are estimates from third-party data providers and may differ from your broker’s quotes at the time of execution.

Our methodology is published in full at /methodology. Weights, gates, and signals are described there. The methodology is informed by academic research on options pricing; we do not advertise backtests, and academic findings about historical patterns do not guarantee future performance.

Vantis may modify, replace, or remove signals, gates, weights, scoring algorithms, structure-selection logic, AI prompts, AI providers, and other methodology components at any time and without prior notice. A score generated under one version of the methodology has no necessary relationship to a score generated under a subsequent version. The Service does not retroactively re-score positions you have already entered. You remain solely responsible for managing positions throughout their life cycle, regardless of any methodology change.

AI-Generated Content

Some outputs include narrative commentary generated by a third-party large language model (currently Anthropic’s Claude). AI-generated text may contain factual errors, hallucinations, fabricated references, invented numerical values, incorrect attributions of cause, and information that is stale relative to its training-data cutoff. The model’s output is not reviewed by a human analyst before display. Confident, fluent, or analyst-sounding prose is a feature of how language models produce text and is not evidence of accuracy or expertise. The model has no access to your portfolio, account balances, tax position, suitability, or risk capacity. Apparent personalization in AI text reflects only data you have uploaded.

AI commentary is informational, not advisory. It is not a recommendation, an endorsement, an offer, or a suitability assessment, and no advisory or fiduciary relationship arises from its display. You must independently verify every factual statement, number, ratio, percentile, and directional claim before relying on it for any purpose. See our AI & Automation Disclosure for what data is sent to the AI and what it can and cannot do.

Other Important Notices

  • U.S. residents only. The Service is restricted to United States residents. Outputs are not designed for foreign markets, foreign tax regimes, or non-U.S. brokerage rules.
  • Not a brokerage; no SIPC or FDIC protection. Vantis is a software provider, not a brokerage, bank, or trust company. Vantis does not custody, hold, transmit, or transact in your funds or securities. Vantis is not a member of FINRA, SIPC, or any self-regulatory organization. SIPC and FDIC protection do not apply to any aspect of the Service.
  • No conflicts. Vantis does not receive payment, rebate, or other consideration for displaying any specific ticker, structure, or strike. Vantis does not take positions in any security as part of, or in coordination with, the operation of the Service.
  • Operational risk. The Service depends on software, third-party data and AI providers, and infrastructure that may experience outages or errors. You should not place any options position the management of which depends on continuous availability of the Service. If the Service is unavailable while you have open positions, you remain solely responsible for managing those positions.

Your Acknowledgment & Waiver

By using Vantis, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You will not rely on any output — score, signal, ranking, structure illustration, sizing calculation, AI-generated commentary, or other artifact — as the sole or primary basis for any investment decision.
  • You will independently verify any data point or analytical claim produced by the Service before acting on it.
  • The Service does not establish any advisory, fiduciary, agency, planning, or trust relationship between you and Vantis. No such relationship may be inferred from these terms, your use of the Service, the proximity of any output to data you have uploaded, or any communication from Vantis.
  • You waive, to the maximum extent permitted by law, any claim that any output, score, signal, structure illustration, sizing calculation, AI-generated commentary, or other element of the Service induced you to take or refrain from taking any investment action.
  • You accept all risk of loss arising from your trading activities, including loss of your entire account and, for certain strategies, losses in excess of the capital you initially commit.
